About Kate’s Learning Curve
Kate’s Learning Curve was born out of one of life’s most difficult chapters. With no warning, I found myself responsible for navigating the complex world of estate administration in British Columbia — first for my mother, and then, only five months later, for my father. There was no rule book, no roadmap, and no time to prepare.
What made the journey even harder were the unexpected family dynamics that surfaced along the way. Two challenging siblings turned an already emotional process into something I would never wish on anyone.
Instead of letting those experiences break me, I chose to turn them into something meaningful. Kate’s Learning Curve — along with its companion Facebook community and YouTube channel — exists to share my story openly, honestly, and with the hope that it will help others facing the same overwhelming responsibilities.
If you’ve been thrown into the role of executor, if you’re struggling to understand your duties, or if family conflict has made everything harder, you’re not alone. I’ve walked this path, and I’m here to help you walk yours with clarity, confidence, and support.
